The disadvantages of strenuous exercise

Maybe it's good that some people don't exercise that strenuously. A coworker told me of a harrowing experience she had with her daughter. The daughter went out for a short 2 mile run last month. After returning, she felt light-headed and her vision was whiting out. She stiffened and went into shock. She was only saved because the coworker had an Epi-pen to inject into her. It helped but they still rushed her to the hospital. Her blood pressure at one point was 70/30 which is very close to death. The attending said it was Exercise Induced Anaphylaxis. The daughter had nut allergies which is why she had the Epi-pens around the house. Fortunately, she is all recovered.I found the part about the whiting out vision scary as mine was whiting out for about 30 minutes after my run. I didn't feel like I was passing out or have any other symptoms. But I guess if I am going to go, it might as well be doing something I like.
