I just finished watching the first season of Portlandia. I had seen it advertised on IFC but never watched it until the article in the New Yorker last week where this segment was described. It sounded very amusing so I watched all 6 episodes on Netflix. It reminds me a bit of the dearly departed Flight of the Conchords. There are some segments aren't all that funny but fortunately they don't last that long. It seems like an interesting place to live . :-)
